It is truly amazing how God will plant a thought -a beautiful, God given seed- in one season of your life (2011 for me) and it will grow, develop, and bloom into what only God always intended of it in another season (this current year of 2023!) 12 years later! THIS is how By Faith Ministries 11:One was born!

In 2011, while I was going through my storm (see “The One’s” blog post), God started putting on my heart the desire to create a book to help and encourage others on their journey through the storms of life. At the time, I thought it was a photography book with verses and little encouraging devotionals or sayings on each page (which it still could be a possibility 😉 however, over time, God began to grow this vision, after He taught me in my own life how He communicates with us in so many different ways, the main way for me being through numbers. 

After 4 years of healing, growing and learning who I was again -who my true God given identity was- by 2015 I had come to know God’s voice and communication to me as close as a friend talking over coffee each day. He had used bringing my attention to specific numbers repetitively in various ways and places, to show me hand picked Bible verses to teach me lessons, to grow me, mature me, heal me and just love on me as my Heavenly Father (He truly loves us SO much more than we will ever understand!) I began reading through Proverbs one morning and this verse hit me in a confident ‘knowing’ that I cannot adequately put into words:

“Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech:”

Instantly, just like God had done previously with Hebrews 11:1 that incredible evening in 2011, I had this “knowing” feeling of an overwhelmingly confident direction over a future calling in my life. To this day in my Bible, my doubt filled purple inked words written next to this verse read: “A calling from God to write the book, explaining the numbers, and possibly to speak about it (2015)” Everything in my doubt filled mind at the time was shyly and self consciously saying “there is no way I am speaking anything in public lol” as the butterflies already started swarming my stomach. 

Isn’t it funny how God will give us a glimpse of the person we are becoming, when we can’t fathom to imagine even a sliver of it yet? 

But that is who our God is! He will allow the Holy Spirit to whisper who we truly are, and the assignment and calling that He has over our lives to help others whom we haven’t even met yet, before we EVER feel qualified to stand in that role! He pulls us up to Heaven’s perspective and purpose over our lives before we can even see past the end of our nose! 

(And let me tell you – we will never feel fully qualified to do anything God asks, but we can step out in faith and allow The Holy Spirit to use us in whatever way He desires to fulfill the incredible role that He has always had for us since the day we were formed in our mother’s womb!)

Over the years, God has grown me, and taught me, (and yes lovingly pushed me) to step out onto the stage of life butterflies, weak knees and all, and share what He has, -and continues to teach me everyday-, to others. I am so in love with my Abba Father, that I can’t help but share from the overflow of all that He has done for me in my life, and the incredible encouragement, empowerment, and authority that He has for each and every one of us!

The details of By Faith Ministries 11:One, are all from God. The Holy Spirit has downloaded every purposeful detail just for you, as you come to rest with Him, worship, hear His teachings and truths, and go back into your everyday life empowered and rejuvenated like never before!
